Pencil holders

Hello,

Today Iโ€™m inviting you to join me to make pencil holders made from large unfinished wooden bracelets.

I’m a fan of the result, they have already made their way to my desk. Now it’s your turn ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s very simple!

To achieve this DIY (Do it yourself), you need:

  • Large unfinished wooden bracelets (I used 11 this time around) here
  • A brush
  • Some glue (Preferably for wood)
  • Thick cardboard
  • Acrylic paint (as many colors as desired)

Start by painting your bracelets in the chosen colors.

Let them get dry.

Take note that the top bracelets of our future pots must be also be painted on the inside.

Then place the underside bracelets of the future pots on the cardboard and trace out the inner and outer contours.

Cut between the 2 contours in order to get the potsโ€™ base.

We then start by gluing the cardboard base onto the downmost bracelet of the pot and go up gradually.

Put some glue on the edges of the bracelets and once they laid one on the other, add a layer of glue inside the pot, along the line where they meet.

Repeat the laying of glue on each floor of the pots except on the top edge of the top bracelets.

Here is the result of the first pot.

And here is third and last pot for this creative DIY.

Iโ€™ve had so much fun making them, I am curious to know if this also inspires you!

So, are you for or against homemade pencil holders ?

Have fun ๐Ÿ™‚
